OutSavvy Platform Update

Keep track of all the changes launched on the OutSavvy platform

Extra Fees

You can now add extra booking fees to your tickets. An example of an extra fee is a restoration fee for a venue.
Once your event is published you can add and manage your extra fees on the Event Fees page under Event Details. You keep 100% of the extra fee and the fees are broken down in Event Reporting.

Mobile Verify & Block

You can now add extra layers of security to your account to help stop problematic guests from booking tickets to your events.
Firstly, you can now block guests by their email address from booking for future events. Just select the Block button under Booking Options on the Manage Guest screen to block that email address from booking tickets for events on your account.
Secondly, for the highest level of security you can now ask each guest to verify their identity with a mobile number before they can book. The mobile number is stored against the order and you can easily block mobile numbers from ordering again. Not only is the storing of the mobile number a strong deterrent against fake or malicious bookings but it is much more difficult to obtain multiple mobile phone numbers to book again. Mobile Verify is a paid for service that requires credits to send SMS messages. Please find more details here

Lots of Updates!

Please find below a list of some of the most recent changes across the OutSavvy platform:
  • Customer Check-in on Dash - you can now check-in your customers directly on the Guest List screen for even quicker check-in
  • Messages Auto Reply - create an auto reply that sends to guests when they contact you on OutSavvy. Handy to give more information about when you can reply or if you want them to contact you using other methods
  • Speed Updates - our techies have made improvements across the platform including on the Create Events screen and the Message Guests screen to speed up managing your events on OutSavvy
  • Pre-Sale - you can now create a list of unique pre sale links that you can send to customers without sending the customers an email invite
  • Tickets Left - when creating your tickets look out for the Show Tickets Left option. This shows your customers exactly how many tickets are remaining at all times
  • Disputes - if you have any payment disputes on OutSavvy you can now easily view and manage them on the Disputes Dashboard in the top right hand menu
  • BlueSky - you can now link your BlueSky account on the Customise Account Settings page in the top right hand menu. OutSavvy has removed X/Twitter sharing across the platform but you can still link your X account if you wish

Event Capacity

It is now possible to set a max capacity for your event. When creating your event, set the max capacity for each date of your event in section 3 'Add Event Dates & Times'.
You can then upload as many tickets as you like but you will never sell over your max capacity and your tickets will go off sale once your max capacity is reached. This is helpful if you have multiple ticket types such as concessions but don't mind which ticket types you sell before you reach your max capacity. For example, if you have a max capacity of 100 guests, you can set each ticket type to have 100 tickets and they will all go off sale once you sell in total 100 tickets across all ticket types.

Co-Host Event

You can now simply and easily add another OutSavvy Event Partner as a Co-Host for your event by creating a Co-Host token. You can have multiple Co-Hosts and set unique access rights for each Co-Host. Co-Host access can be revoked or changed at any time.
The Co-Host can access your event from their Event page so no need to swap accounts. Your event also appears on the Co-Hosts event listings. You can find more details on our Support page here

Date & Entry Times Changes

In order to make it easier to book tickets with different entry times, you can now add the same date multiple times with different start and end times.
When your customer books their tickets for events with multiple dates they select the date and entry time from either a list or our brand new calendar picker making it easier and clearer to book events with multiple dates (see below πŸ‘‡).

Boost

Increase the visibility of your event on OutSavvy with Boost! Create your boost, set your budget, start and end date and track the effectiveness of your campaign. Boosts are prioritised to potential customers based on the customers location and also based on the type of event they attend and browse for. Boosts are easy to create and you can pause or edit your Boost at any time. Boosts are shown across the OutSavvy platform on the website and the app.
You can create Boosts in the Dashboard menu of your event under Promote Event.

Dash Access Tokens

Make access to OutSavvy Dash easier with Dash Tokens. Create tokens for the Dash app for each of your door staff or device so they can admit guests. You can create as many tokens as you like and your entry staff will only have access to the entry management features on Dash. You can revoke the tokens access at anytime.
You can find more information or start creating your Dash tokens here

Tracking Links

Create unique links to your event and track your clicks and conversions with the latest update to the OutSavvy Partner Platform. Create multiple links to track clicks and orders through your sales channels such as your socials, website, performers etc.
You can create up to 30 unique tracking links for each event. You can create and view your clicks and conversions under Promote Event > Tracking Links in the Dashboard menu of your event and then track which orders were created for each link by downloading your event report.

Ticket Tiers

Ticket Tiers are now available on OutSavvy! If you have tier priced tickets such as early birds, general admission etc you can now create tiers of tickets so that lower tiers only go on sale when upper tier tickets have sold out.
Ticket Tiers make it easier for customers to see which tiers are currently on sale and which tiers will be available once the upper tiers sell out. You can also create multiple tiers of tickets for example if you have multiple tier one tickets but with different entry times.
You can create Ticket Tiers on the add event screen when you create your tickets in the Advanced section otherwise you can edit and create Ticket Tiers for existing tickets in the Edit Tickets screen.

Payment Plans & more

Payment Plans are now live on OutSavvy! To help out with the cost of living you can optionally let your customers spread the cost of orders Β£30 and over. They pay a non-refundable deposit (unless the event is cancelled or the tickets are refunded) for 25% of the total cost of the order plus OutSavvy fees. The customer then pays the balance either in regular intervals or the full amount by a date specified by you.
You can turn off Payment Plans at any time for all future order. The payments are all handled by OutSavvy but if your customer doesn't keep up with the payment plan, you will receive the deposit, their order will be cancelled, and the tickets will be put back on sale. You can read more about Payment Plans on OutSavvy here
There are also upgrades across the OutSavvy platform. As well as general speed improvements and bug fixes we have also upgraded the copy events functionality so that your ticket types are also copied over to your new event and have upgraded referral reporting so you can see where your sales referrals are coming from on the event Dashboard.

Ticket Resell

Ticket Resell has received an upgrade! Customers can now choose to Resell tickets in their order in smaller batches rather than Resell all tickets at once.
For example, a customer with 10 tickets can choose to sell their tickets in smaller amounts. The Resell system will then match their order with customers requesting a smaller number of tickets and Resell their tickets in batches. They will still receive a full refund for all tickets sold via Resell. This will help customers Resell more of their tickets and cut down on refund requests πŸ™Œ

New Upgrades Across the Platform

A number of upgrades have recently been deployed to the OutSavvy Partner Portal including some of your most requested functionality. Please find a full list of upgrades below:
  • Refund Past Orders - even if the funds have already been transferred for your event, you can now refund past orders

No need to use your own email address, everything can be managed through OutSavvy. Sync your account with OutSavvy Dash and you can also manage your support messages on the go through the the app.
You will be notified of new support messages by email with a link to the Partner Portal to reply or a ping notification is sent to OutSavvy Dash. You can locate the Messages homepage in the main top nav.

Ticket Groups

Ticket groups are now live on OutSavvy. Ticket groups make it easier to group tickets together so that customers can easily locate the correct tickets when you have a lot of different tickets.
For example, if you event spans multiple days, you may want to group tickets by day, if you have different entry points you may want to group tickets by the entry gate or perhaps you might want to group tickets by early birds, general admission etc.
When creating your new event, just click the "Add ticket groups +" link and start creating your groups. Assign tickets to groups in Advanced options when creating your tickets. The name of the ticket group is pre-fixed to the ticket name on your customers ticket and is also shown in OutSavvy Dash, on the guestlist etc.

Event Co-Hosts and Specific Event Access Rights

We are pleased to announce that one of our most requested features is now live. When adding new users to your account you can now grant users event specific access. This also allows you to co-host events with other event partners on OutSavvy.
To add a co-host to your event, get the email address of the other event partner that they use to login to OutSavvy. Browse to the Add/Manage Users screen in the top right hand menu and add the new user to your account but only grant them access to the events you want them to have access rights to (normal access privileges apply i.e. can edit events, can add events etc). When the other OutSavvy event partner logs into their account, they will now see your account on the Events screen and will be able to access any events you grant them access to. Also, the event partner can add the event to their partner page and also utilise their mailing list to invite their customers to your event!
You can also grant specific event access rights to any user. For example, you may just want a specific user the right to check in guests on OutSavvy Dash for one event and this is now possible to set-up.

Artist Pages

Artist landing pages have now launched on OutSavvy! Are you a performer, DJ, instructor, speaker, host etc? You need an artists page on OutSavvy! When events are created, artists can be tagged into the event so the event appears on the artist page. Customers can also follow their favourites artists and receive an app notification when a new event featuring a followed artist goes live!
Create your own beautiful artist page and customise it with your own imagery, links to your socials, a video, booking information and lots more.
Create your Artist page here and tag artists in your lineup when you create your next event πŸ™Œ

Pre-Sales and Communities

Ticket Pre-Sale allows you to invite and reward customers to purchase tickets before the go on general sale. Only customers who have been sent a Pre-Sale invite will be able to access the Pre-Sale using their unique link and only one order can be made per link before the link expires. Pre-Sale is a great way to reward your existing customers and create brand loyalty with your most loyal ticket buyers.
OutSavvy Communities are a great way of creating groups of customers if you run multiple events or have multiple locations for your events. You can then create campaigns targeted specifically to these Communities for example set-up a ticket Pre-Sale to all customers who have purchased tickets previously to an event tagged with the Community London.
Read more details about Pre-Sale and Communities in the Support section.

New ticket type - Tables

When you create or edit an event you will now find a brand-new ticket type for tables. Tables allow you to create clusters of tickets depending on the number of seats available on the table. Create multiple tables of varying sizes dependant on the layout of your venue and each seat on the table is given a ticket. This allows you to capture data about each guest as well as easily manage your event capacity. This ticket type works with all other features on OutSavvy including the Waiting List and Ticket Resell.

Easier event cancellation

In these crazy times we have made it easier to cancel your events on OutSavvy should the worst happen. Instead of having to refund every order in the system we have changed the Cancel Date functionality to include a mass refund for all your orders.
To cancel your event, access the Dashboard > Event Details > Edit Dates, and select the date you wish to cancel and select Cancel date. Just fill out the form, confirm the cancellation and let the system take care of the rest.

Ticket Add-Ons/Merchandise

You can now upsell your event on OutSavvy by adding ticket add-ons or selling your merchandise directly alongside your tickets! Add drinks packages, VIP upgrades and more or add your merchandise for ticket buyers to pick-up at your event such as t-shirts, programmes etc.
