OutSavvy Partner Support

Do I need to pay VAT on ticket sales?

When selling tickets through OutSavvy, we act as an agent on your behalf.

This means the ticket sale itself is treated as a direct sale between yourself and the customer (with OutSavvy assisting), whilst the booking service is provided by OutSavvy.

The face value of your tickets should be accounted for by yourself, including declaring and paying any relevant VAT that may be due if you are VAT registered.

As an event organiser, it is entirely your responsibility to report your income/turnover and VAT to the appropriate governing authority. For some independently run events this may not be necessary. Be sure to check the most up-to-date thresholds if in any doubt.
